The "Sunrise" vase is made with the turntable in a natural clay on the outside finished with a very beautiful glaze with shades of rose, magenta, orange.
The vase is a unique piece in everyone's interior. Also very decorative to use as a spoon pot for the wooden spoons in the kitchen. Decorative and unique. Each vase is a little different in the flow of the glaze, shape and dimensions. This is clearly the handmade and imperfection of my ceramics.
The collection by ceramist and interior designer Ann Van Beersel for Artisann is a collection in which the turntable is an important instrument. My collection radiates imperfection and each bowl is handmade differently and finished with care.
The "Sunrise" vase with lid makes your interior unique and radiates personality and originality.
The "Sunrise" collection is made from natural turning clay and is finished with a beautiful pink from light to dark magenta floating glaze. On the outside of each pot I deliberately leave a rough clay zone at the bottom in contrast to the glazed inside and top.
Making process
• The pot is turned with the turntable
• Is turned at the bottom with the appropriate instruments on the turntable
• Let it dry for one week to ensure that the pot is certainly dry
• A biscuit bake in an oven at 950° which takes at least one day and a half
• Is glazed by hand and brush
• Is fired in a glaze oven at 1250° and takes two days.
