This white-fired clay twister is small and fine. here too the clay has made a spontaneous movement during the baking process. The result is an elegant bowl that comes loose in a twisting motion.

My Twisters are a harmony of contrasts. Simple, sleek shapes turn into graceful rhythmic ribbons that break free from control, always in search of balance.Each work is unique, shaped by craftsmanship but above all by chance.

The making process

My twisters are turned on the turntable, where the clay gets a simple shape.When the clay is leather-hard, the shape is turned and cut spirally.

The cutting lines are carefully separated and supported by small pieces of clay.After the roughen some of these pieces are removed.

During the high basin, for this white clay up to 1245 °, a falling movement occurs.

When the last supports are removed, the shape comes into its own.
