Stone “Dunes” is a unique design and very original for use. We use it here to present cookies, cakes, snacks. Stone is turned with the turntable in 3 sizes. With the small I use 750gr clay, the medium 1000gr clay and the Large 1250gr clay. The shape and glaze are the same as the basis. My own design Dunes glaze is a very running glaze when it is thickly applied at higher temperatures, it runs brightly during the melting process and is not stable. This is always a risk but always very surprising when the ceramic oven is opened and the result is unique. This is my concept and creativity, the opposite of series work.
The "Zwin" collection is made of Englisch speckled Pottery Clay and is finished with a beautiful floating lightblue glaze. On the outside of each presentation plate, I consciously leave a rough clay zone in contrast with the glazed inside and top. The color of the floating lightblue glaze reacts very nicely with the Englisch speckled Pottery Clay, which is not possible with another clay. I make a conscious choice of the clay in combination with the modified glaze.
My work is labeled with the formed "a" from artisann.
Creating process
This baking and making process determines that the “Zwin” collection has a high quality that makes pieces jump, crack, ... is virtually nil.
Ceramics from Ann Van Beersel stands for functionality, beautiful, high-quality objects that can be used every day with imperfection as the common thread in my design. The different collections give an authenticity to the decorated table and can be endlessly combined into a breakfast set or a complete set of dishes.
