The handmade children's tableware "Emilia & Emiel" consists of a children's plate, children's cup and children's bowl.
You can choose from three drawings, namely a flower, ice cream or kite for the girls and a crab, seagull or kite for the boys.
The unique drawings are designed by our graphic designer “Emma Geuvens” and are patented.
The children's tableware "Emilia" is made with the turning table of a white natural clay and finished with the magenta, pink Sunrise glaze.
The children's tableware "Emiel" is made with the turning table of a white natural clay and finished with the green, mint glaze.
The name of your child, grandchild, godchild, girl next door, boy next door, nephew, niece ... is carefully written with a brush in my own handwriting. This is baked in the glaze oven, making it dishwasher safe.
Personalizing the tableware is only done to order and takes time (minimum 3 weeks).
For the extra work and baking process we ask for an additional cost of 5 €.
Are you looking for an original birth gift, birthday present,…. Then you will certainly be able to give something exclusive and unique with this children's plate, cup or bowl.
The children's collection "Emilie" is made of natural rotating clay and is finished with a beautiful pink from light to dark magenta floating glaze. On the outside of each plate, bowl or cup, I deliberately leave a rough clay zone at the bottom in contrast to the glazed inside and top. The color of the floating magenta glaze reacts very nicely with the natural clay.
My work is stamped with the shaped "a" of artisann and is patented.
Ceramics by Ann Van Beersel stands for functionality, beautiful, high-quality objects that can be used every day, with imperfection as a common thread in my design. The different collections give an authenticity to the decorated table and can be endlessly combined into a breakfast set or complete service.
Making process
• The bowl is rotated with the turning table
• Is turned at the bottom with the appropriate instruments on the turntable
• Allow to dry for one week to ensure that the bowl is dry
• A biscuit bake in a 950° oven which takes at least a day and a half
• Is glazed by hand and brush
• Is baked in a glaze kiln at 1250° and takes two days.
The high container is possible because the clay is stoneware clay and can withstand this high temperature. I also specially designed the glaze recipe for a 1250° container and it is unique. This baking and making process determines that the "Sunrise" collection has a high quality, so that pieces jump, crack, ... are virtually nil.
Easy to maintain, dishwasher safe and resistant to high temperatures.
